I don't use other WHU fan sites so I have nothing to compare WHO with, except that to compare this Board now with its past. For me there was a lot more humour especially because posters could black font.
The good thing about this Board, still, is the light touch approach by the mods [ or even studied neglect ] such that anything goes. Remember when this Board had begun and built up a momentum there was no Facebook/Twitter/whatsapp/instagram competition to take up people's other time so taking these alternatives into account I think that WHO is hanging on well.

It's long moved into the "comfort-blanket" stage of it's life. Like many, I feel that other social media sites have sucked the lifeblood from the site, but even they have to peak some time.
It does need more people contributing though - people moan about the lack of posts yet expect others to go to all theeffort of starting a thread - and even then they moan about whatever the subject is.
That being said, I feel it's not just on here that things are moving at the pace of a snail - even some of the newspaper sites (I read) have stories up that are days or even weeks old.
Maybe we've got to the point that we're so saturated with information we've nothing significant left to talk about anywhere, any more.

It's been better since the day old hatred outgrown football and drove himself with his caravan off the cliffs of Dover.
Apart from that, the usual lunatics still makes me cringe, but most of you are friendly and that's what makes me come back for more.
It's probably the dullest, crappiest and ugliest forum site in the universe. A complete makeover, new server that allows more than two simultaneously posts before it melts down would be lovely.
But what to expect from mods probably being in their late 70's. David Gold pops into mind...
